NATO hopes that the Russian President's attendance to the Bucharest Summit will yield practical results, said the spokesman of the Alliance, James Appathurai. "As for the practical measures, they will be carried out, especially in the matter of our cooperation on Afghanistan", he stated.
Appathurai stressed the importance of the transit agreement to Afghanistan between NATO and Russia and the common interest the Alliance shares regarding a broader cooperation on common training for the war on drugs experts.
"I believe that the NATO Summit in Bucharest will yield not only symbolic, but practical results as well" added the Alliance representative.
