The preparations for the NATO Summit due in Bucharest are going as scheduled. This was the conclusion of a meeting held on Tuesday, at the Victoria governmental Palace, between institutions partners involved in the organization of the summit and Romanian Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu.
The coordinator of the organization of the Summit, the Secretary of State Victor Micula informed on the NATO having approved the working formats for the summit in Bucharest, which includes a formal meeting of the heads of state and/or government of the member states, as well as some meetings, such as the NATO Council - Ukraine and the NATO Council - Russia ones.
During the meeting, Tariceanu reiterated the fact that the high level meeting of the Alliance, due in Bucharest, is important not only for NATO, but also for Romania, as it is the most important international event organized in Romania till now.
In a press declaration made on Tuesday by Presidency Spokesman is underlined that Traian Basescu considers the NATO Summit organization is obliging all State institutions and equally from all political forces at a maximum responsibility.
