President Traian Basescu has arrived, on Thursday, in an official visit at the headquarters of the North-Atlantic Alliance in Brussels. The Romanian President had met the Alliance Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer on issues related to the NATO summit to be held in Bucharest.
The agenda of the Romanian president's official visit also includes a working lunch with officials representing the NATO states in the North Atlantic Council. On this occasion, the Romanian President will unveil the phase in the preparations made for the Summit held in Bucharest and he will also present the Romanian outlook of the topics to be included in the agenda of debates. In the end of the program, the Romanian President will deliver an address at the conference held by the „German Marshall Fund of the United States”.
