NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, visited the Romanian soldiers deployed in Langman camp, in Afghanistan. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer
was informed by the commander of Task Force Zabul, Lieutenant – Colonel Costel Ionescu, about the state of security in the region, about the force deployment and the cooperation between ISAF forces and the Afghan police and army. Also, the chief of the Provincial Reconstruction Team, Lieutenant – Colonel James Allen Bramble, presented the situation concerning the development of the reconstruction projects of the province. NATO Secretary General mentioned that he greatly appreciated the professionalism of the Romanian soldiers in the missions assigned within ISAF.
