George W. Bush: Russia is not our enemy
The President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, stated on Wednesday, in Bucharest, that the Russian Federation does not represent a NATO enemy and the anti-missile shield is not focused on defence against Russia.
'We must develop the anti-missile shield in order to protect Europe. We invite Russia to join us in this cooperation effort aimed at protecting Russia, Europe and the United States. President Putin is to join this Summit and I will also reiterate in the meeting we both have that the shield has not the goal to defend us of Russia. Russia is not our enemy', underlined the White House leader in the keynote address given on the occasion of the Transatlantic Forum, organized on the sidelines of the NATO Summit.
Also, the President of the United States of America mentioned that the future of the Middle East does not belong to terror, but to freedom, underlining that 'NATO is no longer a static force'.
The President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, stated on Wednesday that the NATO Summit in Bucharest is to take the 'historical decision' of Alliance enlargement to three new states - Croatia, Albania and Macedonia. The White House leader reiterated that the United States support NATO enlargement to these three states.
