President Traian Basescu and General Secretary Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will establish the last details regarding the Northern-Atlantic reunion from Bucharest in this afternoon and after the meeting they will take part at a common press-conference. The Chief of State and NATO General Secretary will probably discuss the schedule of the summit which contains the expansion of the organization, the allied operations from Afghanistan, energetic and cybernetic security and also the ballistic anti-missile defense. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer sustains that the results of the reunion are unpredictable within the context in which on the agenda there is the issue of the states Ukraine and Georgia and also the possibility of Macedonia’s accession. NATO General Secretary also mentioned that the Alliance’s gates must remain open for the democratic European countries which accomplished the accession criteria.
