On Tuesday the City Council approved the enforcement of some temporary traffic restriction measures in view of the NATO Summit organization. Thus, a designated lane will be created between the Arcul de Triumf - Piata Victoriei - Piata Unirii - Palatul Parlamentului.
On the 27th of March the security operations on the designated lane for the transfer of official delegations will start and traffic will be closed on this lane.
On the 29th of March a simulation of the transfer protocol on the official routes will take place, and between 1 and 5 of April the neighboring streets leading to the secured official lane designated as such by the MIRA plan, will also be closed to the public.
After the 29th of March the official lane will be maintained, but the passage routes to cross the lane will be opened, namely towards six major directions. On the night of April the 1st a new single official lane will be created, between bd. Regina Elisabeta and Palatul Cotroceni (Cotroceni Palace).
In the period between 27th of March and 5th of April, vehicles are not allowed to stop or park on the streets neighboring the secured lane.
The Streets Administration department will be in charge with the traffic signaling of the traffic restrictions, and with the creation of the secured lane.
